RusLAN provides localization services in the following main localization domains:
These domains are not the only domains where RusLAN provides localization services. RusLAN feels strong demand for localization services in those domains and maintains the team of full-time permanent employees proficient in those fields. In addition, RusLAN performs localization projects in these domains on a regular basis. However, due to a very large pool of local highly qualified resources we are pleased to offer localization services in other localization domains too.
Here are some examples of completed projects in different localization domains.
IT
The biggest RusLAN's Clients in IT domain are Novell, Hewlett-Packard, Canon and Microsoft.

Most of the mentioned projects included localization of software, help systems (Windows Helps, Java Helps, Web Helps, and HTML helps) and documentation as well as help compilation and testing and providing documentation DTP services. We performed over 65 projects in sum for Novell, Inc. during 1992 – 2007. The total word count for all Novell, Inc projects exceeded 8,000,000.
We also provided testing services for Novell, Inc. For example, Novell trusted RusLAN the testing (UI and functional) of the network OS NetWare 2.15, NetWare 3.11, NetWare 3.12, NetWare Lite (in our testing lab in Ivanovo, Russia), NetWare 4.11, and NetWare 5 (on-site work at Novell lab's in Provo, UT, USA).
We have also successfully completed many localization projects for HewlettPackard. Most of the projects were performed for printing and digital imaging division of Hewlett-Packard. We also provided testing services for Hewlett-Packard in our testing lab and in HP Testing Center in Boise, Idaho, USA. The total word count for all Hewlett-Packard projects exceeded 2,300,000.
Since 2004 we localize products of Canon, Inc: printers, scanners, cameras — Software, Help, and Documentation. The total word count for all Canon projects exceeded 480,000.
For Microsoft we have localized Software and Help of Windows Mobile 5.1 and many supporting documents.
Telecommunications
The biggest RusLAN's Clients in this area are Avaya, Polycom, Alcatel-Lucent, HUBER+SUHNER AG, Huawei and Siemens Enterprise Communication.
Since 2004 we localize Software, Help, Documentation of products and marketing materials for Avaya, Inc. The total word count for all Avaya’s projects exceeded 1,100,000.
From 2003 till 2008 we have localized Software, Help, Documentation of several products and marketing materials for Polycom, Inc. The total word count for all Polycom’s projects exceeded 820,000.
From 2007 till 2011 we have localized Software, Help, Documentation of several products and marketing materials for EADS (European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company), Cassidian Division. The total word count for all Polycom’s projects exceeded 530,000.
Since 2005 we localize Software, Help, Documentation of products and marketing materials for Alcatel-Lucent, Inc. The total word count for all Alcatel-Lucent, Inc projects exceeded 300,000.
Other well-known RusLAN clients in IT domain are 3Com, Adobe, AMD, APC, Avocent, Compaq, Dell, IBM, Intel, Lenovo, LG, McAfee, MOD-TAP, Nortel Networks, NVidia, OKI, Oracle, Rambus, Sun Microsystems, and Symantec.
Medical Equipment & Systems
Medical Equipment and Systems is our second domain in terms of localization volume (some 42%). We have successfully completed localization projects for the following companies:

RusLAN provided full localization and testing services including translation of software, help system and documentation, testing of software, helps compiling and testing, and DTP services.
Other significant projects for this domain have been done for TelesensKSCL Limited. It was localization of Jupiter 2.4-03 – Billing System for Mobile Service Providers (Software, Documentation, Help, and Readme). Total wordcount was 1.800.000 words.
From 2006 till 2009 we have localized internal financial materials for Deutsche Bank. The total word count for all projects exceeded 450,000.
